Greetings from the Martinsville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was established on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two young, intelligent, African-American women who had a vision of performing community service focusing on providing assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world.
The Martinsville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was established on November 27, 1951 and has been going strong every since then. We are committed to our Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Development, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement. Chapter members will “use our collective strength to promote academic excellence and to provide assistance to those in need” as envisioned by our founders 105 years ago.
The theme for this biennial is “One Mission, One Team.”
We would like to thank the Martinsville-Henry County community for supporting our efforts to serve. We appreciate all of you!
Committed to Serve,
Tia J. Stone-President
